Keith's career spans more than 25 years, serving in senior executive management roles continuing to his current position as President of KeySource Thomas Thor, providing retained executive search and a full suite of human capital investment services.
In addition to serving as the President of KeySource Thomas Thor, Keith is the Principal and Co-founder of KeySource, Inc (KeySource), a business management and human capital consulting company founded in 2001 and headquartered in Hudson, Ohio.
Keith can best be described as an organizational strategist who has gained industry recognition for authoring many successful capture strategy initiatives, most recently as a consultant and business partner to clients and in the past as a senior executive of both Washington Group International (WGI) - formerly Morrison Knudsen (MK), and Babcock & Wilcox (BW).
Early Career: Nuclear & Defense Program Management
Throughout his career, Keith has worked on a variety of navy reactor systems including the Seawolf class. In support of this project, he successfully delivered technically sophisticated nuclear systems under performance-based, fixed-price contracts totaling over $250M. In addition to navy reactor systems, Keith has seven years of operations and large-scale project management experience including the design and construction, operational readiness demonstration, start-up, and commissioning of two reactor manufacturing facilities.
He gained hands-on, industry-specific experience supporting one of NASA's solid rocket motor manufacturing facilities with capital investments totaling $300M, while earning two U.S. patents for technologies used in rocket motor manufacturing processes.
Keith spent 21 years as a member of BW's leadership team where he was provided ample opportunities for professional growth. His responsibilities included the start-up of several business units, joint ventures, and subsidiary companies. Keith served as V. P. Business Development of the Federal Projects Division as BW grew rapidly into one of the DOE's largest services provider (600% growth in four years). Keith began his career with BW serving in management positions supporting the U.S. DOE Naval Reactors program. This included three years as Program Manager for the design and manufacture of Naval aircraft carrier reactor plants and managing the Navy's M-140 spent nuclear fuel shipping and storage containers projects.
Prior to KeySource
Prior to co-founding KeySource, Keith was recruited by Washington Group International (WGI), to assist with the acquisition, integration, and management of Westinghouse Government Services Company into MK. He worked for WGI as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Federal Project Division directing $350M in annual revenues for a business unit delivering large design and construction, environmental, waste management, and D&D project support for federal and commercial clients. Under Keith's management, projects received record safety and quality performance awards at multiple sites. One specific DOE project under Keith's oversight exceeded five million safe work hours without a lost-time accident.
Keith is a graduate of Hiram College, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and graduating magna cum laude. He is currently a board member of Geneva College where, prior to attending Hiram, he pursued undergraduate studies in Engineering and Business and was a varsity member of both the football and baseball teams. Prior to attending Geneva College, Keith earned a Certificate in Drafting & Design Technology from Kaw Technical College.
